Before I get into the update, this is a heads up that I will be out of town from Friday - Monday (I arrive home on the 27th) so please expect very minimal presence from me regarding TCG/admin matters even more than usual! I'll probably pop in on Discord still so I'll see stuff there & be able answer any potential question/concerns/etc that may come up when I have the free time to do so but otherwise, I won't be able to do much while I'm away even if I do end up taking my laptop with me. We'll see you guys again on May 29th for the next weekly update, which will NOT be a combined monthly update (that will come on June 1st). TCG NEWSThere will be a few things mentioned in this update that AREN'T ready yet just because I wanted to make sure this was posted before midnight but rest assured, I'll be finishing everything up right after this is posted. Other than that, there are just a few notes to report for this week!
SAKURA'S 2.0 ANNIVERSARYTo celebrate Sakura 2.0's re-opening 1st anniversary on May 24th, we of course have gifts for everyone!In addition to the event card below that everyone can take as long as you joined before today, you can also take choice cards spelling SAKURA 2.0 1ST ANNIVERSARY with no limits or restrictions. Feel free to claim that HERE!  ev-sakuraanniversary2024 Players can also take up to 2 past event cards they may have missed - even if they weren't a member at the time! On top of one of the wishes granted this week where Biweekly Set B games have their reward doubled, players can also replay Biweekly Set A games again for a second set of rewards! If you haven't played the Set A games since they were updated last week, you may replay them again at the same time (whenever you do) or just refresh the rewards page once. However, both of these doubled rewards WILL EXPIRE on June 5th whereas the rest of these anniversary freebies have no expiry/deadline! Lastly, everyone can take 1 full set of every rare coupon currently available as well: additionalhanamideck, boxsetfreebie, doublereleasepulls, extrareleasepulls, instantmastery, nodonationrestrictions, personalplayerachievement If you've already maxed out your hanami decks and/or box set freebie limit, you can replace those coupons with your choice of any of the other rare coupons available, and there are no limits or restrictions since this is a special occasion :D Please note that it is REQUIRED you comment with what coupons you take for them to be valid, then add it to the existing freebie log for the choice cards please! ANNIVERSARY MEMBER IDSDoes anyone remember this? If not, don't worry because you'll learn now as I'm excited to announce that Anniversary Member IDs are now unlocked along with Sakura 2.0 reaching it's 1st anniversary!Essentially, players are eligible to request an additional Member ID for every full year they've been a member of the TCG (without quitting/rejoining) - but do note that the date you are allowed to apply for this will vary, depending on your original TCG join date. if you joined on May 24th 2023 then you can start requesting your new Member ID starting in 2 days, also on May 24th (and not today)! If you joined on May 25th 2023 then you can do so in 3 days instead, on May 25th; and so on. However, you don't need to request your new Member ID on the exact day if you're not ready; you can apply at any time as long as your personal yearly anniversary has passed!This Member ID does NOT replace your current one as it has a different filename (ie. mc-name01) but it CAN be traded for another player's Member ID of the same type + will count towards trade points too (ie. mc-Cassidy01 for mc-yasu01 is OK but mc-Cassidy01 for mc-yasu is NOT). Anniversary Member IDs can also be used in special masteries under the same rules as regular Member IDs! For more details and additional information, please read over the new Anniversary Member IDs thread (coming soon!) before posting your form!
